Dragon Ball is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Akira Toriyama. It follows the adventures of Goku, a Saiyan who trains under the martial arts master Master Roshi to become Earth’s strongest warrior in order to defend it from alien invaders.

Goku is the protagonist of Dragon Ball, and he has been around since the beginning. The first series starts with Goku as a baby, so his age is not given in the show. However, in each new series that follows, Goku gets older.

Son Goku, whose actual name is Kakarot, is the protagonist of Akira Toriyama’s manga Dragon Ball. Sun Wukong encouraged him to make his debut appearance on November 20, 1984.

Goku appears as the protagonist of the manga’s anime adaptations (Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z), as well as most series (Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Super), movies, TV programs, and OVAs based on the manga, and numerous video game franchises.

We’ll give you Goku’s age in every Dragon Ball anime series iteration, beginning with Dragon Ball and finishing with Dragon Ball super, in this page. We’ll also offer explanations for each segment since certain sections of the timeline are a little unclear.

In Dragon Ball, how old is Son Goku?

In Dragon Ball, Goku’s age ranges from 11 to 18 years old.

Goku’s adventure begins when he is 11 years old, joined by Bulma and subsequently by his other companions. He is 12 years old at the time of his loss in the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament. He was 15 years old when he was defeated in the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament.

Finally, when he was 18 years old, he joined the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament. So, what transpired throughout that period?

Bulma, a 16-year-old girl with a weird monkey tail, meets Goku, a boy with a strange monkey tail who is on a quest to collect the mythical seven Dragon Balls, which would enable her to call the dragon Shenron, who can grant wishes. The young lady, impressed by Goku’s power, persuades him to accompany her.

On their trip, they encounter Olong, a pig that can change into whatever he wishes for a few minutes; Yamcha, a desert robber who would ultimately become an ally; and others. Pilaf, a cruel and ambitious man in pursuit of the spheres to fulfill his desire to rule the world, and Chi-Chi, whom Goku accidentally vows to marry.

Later, Goku works with Master Roshi, an old martial arts master, in preparation for the Tenkaichi Tournament, which draws the finest fighters from across the globe. Krillin, a kid who becomes his training partner and competitor, soon becomes his closest friend.

Following the competition, Goku searches for the four-star sphere, his grandfather’s sole remembrance, and runs into the Red Ribbon, whose commander wants to gather the dragon balls for himself. Goku destroys the whole military organization by himself, including the hitman Taobaibai, whom he had previously defeated but now easily annihilates after a rigorous training with the hermit Korin.

Goku then reunites with his comrades to fight Uranai Baba’s soldiers and requests that she find the final Dragon Ball so that he may resurrect his buddy Bora, who was slain by Taobaibai. Goku and his friends practice for three years before reuniting in the Tenkaichi Tournament.

Master Shen, an old adversary of Master Roshi and brother of Taobaibai, and his students Tenshinhan and Jiaozi meet the heroes here.

Thanks to Master Roshi’s assistance, Master Shane’s pupils decide to put their powers to good use instead of pursuing their goal of becoming hitmen. At the conclusion of the competition, Tambourine, a monster created by the Great Piccolo, kills Krillin. Goku goes after the monster, but he is quickly beaten.

Goku is led to the Tower of Korin by the samurai Yajirobe, where the young man obtains the required strength to defeat the Great Little Wizard by drinking the magnificent god’s water. Meanwhile, the demon murders Roshi and Jiaozim before killing the dragon Shenron and regaining his youth with the Dragon Balls.

Goku defeats the Great Wizard Piccolo once again, but before dying, he creates an egg holding his kid and a reincarnation of Piccolo. Goku approaches the Earth God on Karin’s suggestion, requesting that he rebuild Shenron so that he may revive the demon’s victims. God accepts the young man’s request, and Goku joins him as a student in order to prepare for the fight with Piccolo.

Three years later, the characters reunite on Papaya Island for the 23rd Tenkaichi Tournament, which Piccolo enters with the goal of avenging his father. The ultimate battle pits Goku and Piccolo against one other, with the kid narrowly prevailing. Goku fulfills his vow to marry Chichi, and the two board the golden cloud to depart the tournament island.

In Dragon Ball Z, how old is Son Goku?

How-Old-Is-Goku-In-Every-Dragon-Ball-Series

In Dragon Ball Z, Goku’s age ranges from 23 to 44 years old.

The Dragon Ball narrative spans a significant amount of time, beginning five years after the events of Dragon Ball, when we meet Goku, who is now 23 years old. Goku dies, but is revived with the aid of the Dragon Balls, and is reborn as a 23-year-old, but a 24-year-old chronologically.

He is 26/27 years old when the androids come, and 27 years old when he confronts Cell. When Majin Buu is vanquished, Goku is still 27 years old, although he is 34 years old chronologically, and he will be 37/44 years old following the 10-year leap. What happened during this period?

Five years after Goku and Chichi’s wedding, the anime takes place. They have since welcomed a kid called Gohan. A new narrative starts with the arrival on Earth of a strange space warrior called Raditz, Goku’s elder brother, from another planet, and the discovery that Goku, too, comes from an alien warrior species known as the Saiyan, of whom only four are alive today.

Piccolo kills Raditz after Goku sacrifices himself. But the land’s problems did not stop there; there are still two surviving Sayans, Nappa and Vegeta, who go to Earth to obtain and utilize the Dragon Balls. Meanwhile, Goku reaches the afterlife and trains in North Cayo, where he develops his physical abilities and learns techniques like kayoken and genki dame.

Goku is resurrected a year later by his buddies. The Sayans have already come, and they are all working together to defend the Earth, although most of them perish in the end. Nappa is killed, but Vegea manages to flee. Because Piccolo and the Earth’s Kami both perished, all of the Drago Balls vanished. Bulma, Gohan, and Krilin embark on a journey to get the Namekian Dragon Balls.

Frieza and Vegeta will be waiting for them there. In order to defeat Frieza, Vegeta and Goku’s allies form a team, but they fail. By the time they arrive, Goku has completed training in a gravity 100 times greater than Earth’s. This strength, however, is insufficient to overcome Frieza. Goku turns into a Super Saiyan after seeing Krilin’s death and is ready to face Frieza on an equal footing.

As a consequence, Goku triumphs but does not kill Freeza, and Hint destroys him. Goku’s allies rescue all of the Namekians and transport them to Earth with the aid of Dragon Balls.

On Earth, the Namekian Dragonballs are used to revive everyone, but when it came time to resurrect Goku, it was discovered that he was still alive and did not want to return to Earth since he was practicing on the planet Yadrat.

Frieza travels to Earth after some time to murder Goku, but Trunks is already waiting for him and kills him. Trunks was shown to be from the future, as well as the son of Bulma and Vegeta, who would be born three years later.

He also claims that after three years on Earth, two deadly androids – #17 and #18 – will emerge. After three years, it was discovered that there are two more androids: Cell and #16.

The seventeenth and eighteenth centuries are absorbed by the cell, which then takes on its final shape. He’s holding the “Cell Games” martial arts competition, and if he doesn’t win, the world will end.

In Dragon Ball GT, how old is Son Goku?

In Dragon Ball GT, Goku is 49-51 years old (confusing)

As a result, GT begins five years after Z, putting Goku at 42/49 years old. Pilaf, on the other hand, utilizes the Black Dragon Balls and inadvertently transforms Goku into a kid, although with the logic of a 49-year-old man. Goku is essentially 12 years old when the Earth is destroyed, but he is really 50 years old.

Finally, he is 13/51 years old when the tale concludes. This is one of the more difficult series to follow. What occurred throughout the course of the series?

The narrative takes place 10 years after the conclusion of the Dragon Ball Z anime series (five years in the Japanese version). In the Almighty’s palace, Goku completes Oob’s training. Pilaf, Son Goku’s archenemy from the beginning of Dragon Ball, wants to rule the world with the Dragon Balls.

Before he parted ways with Piccolo Daimaô (his evil half) at the Palace of the Almighty, he learned the existence of ancient Dragon Balls produced by the Almighty (Kami-sama). As a result, he summons Kyûkyoku Shenron, a red-colored deity (unlike the classic Shenron which is green). Pilaf fails to fulfill his desire, and Kyûkyoku Shenron transforms Son Goku into a toddler.

Unfortunately, these wicked Dragon Balls (produced by a defective Almighty) not only spread across the cosmos (traditional Dragon Balls only disperse on Earth), but they also destroy the planet where the promise was made after a year. As a result, Son Goku has one year to rejoin them and avert the Earth’s destruction.

He goes off with Trunks and Pan in quest of the strewn around the galaxy crystal balls.

In Dragon Ball Super, how old is Son Goku?

In Dragon Ball Super, Goku is between the ages of 31 and 32.

Between Majin Buu’s defeat and the conclusion of Dragon Ball Z, Super takes place over a ten-year span. Goku is 31/38 years old at the moment, and by the time the tale ends a year later, he is 32/39 years old, still under the age of 40. What do we know about the series’ events?

Earth enjoys a time of calm after the battle with Buu. However, Beerus, the God of Destruction, has recently awoken from a 39-year slumber in order to confront the Divine Super Saiyan, the mythical fighter mentioned in an old prophesy by the Oracle Pisces. Beerus then sets out to find the Divine Super Saiyan.

He appears on the planet Kaio, which is home to Son Goku. The latter chooses to confront him, but despite his Super Saiyan 3 abilities, he is unable to defeat him. Beerus then travels to Earth with the angel Whis.

They meet Bulma, who invites them to her birthday celebration. Everything is well until Boo consumes all of the flans. Beerus becomes enraged and threatens to destroy Earth.

The reappearance of Son Goku, a short revelation from Shenron, and a transformation into a Divine Super Saiyan, not to mention Beerus’ decision to spare Earth since he is tired from his battle with the Dragon team, all help to alleviate the concerns.

Frieza’s henchmen later revive Frieza by stealing the Dragon Balls from Earth (which were originally discovered in the hands of Pilaf and his gang). One of their devices allows the Tyrant to reclaim all of his limbs that Future Trunks had segmented.

As a result, the prince of Evil, who has gained a gold metamorphosis (Golden Frieza), returns to Earth and disrupts the peace, while Son Goku and Vegeta, who have been sent to train on the planet of Beerus, are unaware of anything. However, a brief call from Bulma, as well as Goku and Vegeta’s return to Earth as Super Saiyan Blue, is enough to reverse the tide.

The Earth is destroyed to nothing during the battle between Vegeta and Golden Frieza, who subsequently reverts to his normal form. However, Whis, who can only go back in time for a few seconds, enables Goku to rectify his error and defeat Frieza in time.

Goku is the main protagonist in Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball GT. The series primarily follows Goku’s adventures as he trains to become stronger in order to protect Earth from various threats that it faces. Reference: how old is goku and vegeta.
