Novak Djokovic, the seven-time Australian Open champion, was forced to withdraw from this year’s tournament because of a new vaccination mandate. The world number 1 tennis player is not alone in his decision. Many top players are opting out due to an increasing trend of mandatory vaccinations for high-risk sports events

Because to the Vaccine Mandate, Novak Djokovic is likely to miss the Australian Open.

Novak Djokovic is remaining firm in his convictions. He becomes the most high-profile professional athlete to do so, joining a tiny but increasing group of athletes who are willing to put their money where their mouth is.

Since losing the U.S. Open final to Daniil Medvedev on September 12th — pre-New York vaccination passport – Djokovic has yet to walk on the court. Djokovic has withdrawn from this weekend’s Indian Wells event in Southern California, signaling that he would not back down. The world’s number one player’s determination will be put to the test as the Australian Open, tennis’ next Major, approaches in January. Unvaccinated tourists would be denied entry to Australia, according to Australian federal government ministers Greg Hunt and Alex Hawke, who made the announcement on October 20th.

“The government has declared that you will need to be twice vaccinated to enter Australia; it is a general application, not only for tennis players,” Immigration Minister Hawke said on ABC radio. The interviewer persisted, asking whether there would be any exceptions for the Open. “Not at this moment,” Hawke said. It’s so lovely that the oppressive government is planning for the coof three months in advance; it’s a clear harbinger of things to come.

Hawke said, “Our health recommendation is that when we open the borders, everyone who comes to Australia will need to be twice vaccinated.” But, by then, I’m sure you’ll be on your second booster shot, since they’re now being considered and introduced in the United States for Americans. Would Hawke want quadruple immunization or will a triple dose suffice? Do you recall the “15 days”? That was nearly a year and a half ago. Hawke wasn’t through yet, as he went on to talk about Djokovic’s vagueness. “I don’t have a message for [Djokovic], but I do have a message for everyone planning a trip to Australia: you must be double-vaccinated.”

Daniel Andrews, the Premier of Victoria, weighed in, adding that the coof “doesn’t care what your tennis ranking is,” but they definitely appear to. “I don’t believe an unvaccinated tennis player will be granted a visa to enter this nation, and if they do, they’ll have to spend a couple of weeks in quarantine,” Chairman Andrews said. “I don’t believe the guy you mentioned [Djokovic] or any other tennis star, golfer, or Formula One driver will be able to secure a visa to come here.” I’m confident the federal government will let you know if I’m incorrect.” How can anybody argue that we aren’t on the way to a two-tiered society with that statement?

Djokovic began this “controversy” with a calm comment to Serbia’s Blic: “Things being what they are, I still don’t know whether I will travel to Melbourne.” I will not say whether or not I have been vaccinated since it is a personal concern and an intrusive question. People nowadays go too far in their freedom to ask inquiries and pass judgment on others. They’ll take advantage of anything you say, ‘yeah, no, maybe, I’m thinking about it.’

It will take a lot to bring about the change needed to prevent these dictators from destroying everything, but more people are waking up and pushing back every day.
